Christian Nwenyi
Director of Tutoring
Christian is currently a junior at Stuyvesant High School, and he has a great passion for English and all things politics. When he is not busy reading the latest news article or studying for the next exam, you can find him on the basketball court or on the track field, striving to help his teams succeed. As the middle child of 5 siblings, he has a life’s worth of experience interacting with different age groups, and he is able and eager to use his prior experiences to help kids of all backgrounds who are in need.

Ian Lau
Co-Founder
Ian is currently a junior at Stuyvesant High School, where he loves learning about science and language. When he is not busy practicing as a member of the Varsity Track and Field team, he enjoys tutoring children in his local community, taking photos for the yearbook, and cooking in his free time. Through his work with children, he has developed a strong passion for helping curious individuals of all ages and backgrounds, and he hopes that his efforts can reach those who may not get the assistance that they need.

About Us
Educove Tutors was founded in 2020 by Ian Lau and Evelyn Ma, who attend Stuyvesant High School in Tribeca, Manhattan. Though the organization was founded by students from Stuyvesant High School, Educove functions through the efforts of students from all over the city. Our priority is to give back to the community through our tutoring and fundraising efforts; by offering our services at no expense, we seek to be an educational platform accessible to any student in need.
Currently, our team is comprised of experienced students from Stuyvesant High School and Townsend Harris High School, but we are looking to expand our organization to other schools as well. If you are interested in adding your school to our team, please email us at educovetutoring@gmail.com
Subyeta Chowdhury
Director of Awareness
Subyeta is a current junior at Stuyvesant High School, and she has made sure to keep STEM and service important goals throughout her life. This passion has led her to volunteer at various medical organizations and tutor younger children in her community. Apart from managing the tutoring services at Stuy ARISTA and writing articles for the school’s newspaper, she enjoys baking with her sister and watching new shows. She would like to dedicate this time to also enforce a love for learning and help struggling students of various ages.

Joyce Lin
Director of Mentoring
Joyce is a junior at Stuyvesant High School and is working towards pursuing a finance major in the future. Outside of school, she has contributed hours to her community through projects such as creating a wheelchair-accessible garden for her local nursing home. She also has adequate experience in tutoring children of all ages in subjects such as English, Math, and Mandarin. As a strong believer in education, she has made it a priority to engage with the children of her community and set them on the right path for a higher education.
